Interviewing for Success: Step One

Most of us will begin new jobs by taking the first step of being interviewed.  The interview is usually the first opportunity someone gets to physically present themselves, but successful interviewing starts way before the actual appointment.

Use all of that nervous energy  (you do have an interview coming up, right?) to do your homework and prepare.  Research the company before the interview.   Find out what the company does and check out how.  This will come in handy if they actually want you to work there.

Next, take the time to create your own questions for the interviewer.  This will showcase your interest and convey how invested you are in getting the job.  Plus, now you might be able to make them nervous…
